Honest Hardware: A Quick Take on New i9 Line-up
Intel has replaced the i7 CPU line up with i9 as its flagship to general consumers. This created quite a buz in the hardware enthusiast community. As it was believed, this was not for the normal user, or the desktop bound employee, instead its for the technical (and enthusiast) community who want the most for their money.
The i9 line is costly as compared to its predecessor, but it presents a revolutionary change in CPU architecture with the likes of never seen before. The most expensive option costs around $2,000 and it comes with 18 cores. That is way more than most us ask for.
The Change in Current Market
the i9 Line up is not all about lightning fast speed, and processing. Instead the architecture is based on concept of multi-tasking. If you understand hardware, each core means ease for handling different processes at a time, more cores mean you can handle more programs with ease.
This is a shift from handling the process at fast pace, well we are not saying that the new line-up wont boost your speed but we are explaining the motive behind this gigantic step, and how it will change the hardware market in upcoming years.
Should You Buy it?
The line-up is (as said before) is designed for people with the top dollar, and who wants all the power. But if you don’t know how to put it to good use, this is not going to rocket boost your PC.
This is the current big thing in hardware market, and for the sake of it be prepared to see some gaming rig equipped with the new i9, with crazy custom water-cooler and stacked with top of the line cards. This definitely has created a rift in the market, and the effects will be felt for a while.
