Why SpaceX Only Hires American Workforce?
Elon Musk, the man who revolutionized Auto Industry is known for many reasons. He will be remembered as one of the greatest minds in Human History. More importantly, he will be remembered for his humble behavior and killing sense of humor.
The man has been center of tech news for a long time. It all started way before he co-founded Paypal. He is known for his vision of a far better future that sees humanity as a multi-planetary species.
The Interesting Turnover
It seems very bright, and this is the first attempt anyone outside of the government has taken steps to explore the skies. But it doesn’t seem the founder of SpaceX has complete authority over everything. There were some controversies for why Musk is whitewashing every office of the Space X program. This raised concerns around the globe, and Musk finally addressed the issue.
Elon Musk started with saying , if it was possible, he would love to recruit foreign talent. But as things stands, it’s not up to him. He clarified by saying that Rocket science falls under International Traffic in Arms Regulation, and it prohibits companies dealing with military tech from hring foreign workforce.
It’s not up to us
Elon Musk addressed the issue during his speak at International Astronautical Congress in Guadaljara Mexico. He clarifieid that its not up to him and the U.S Government are making regulations which makes getting a job in U.S as hard as it is. But when it comes to work with rocket technology, its considered as advanced weapons technology, and a normal work visa won’t do unless permitted by the Secretary of Defense or Secretary of Stage.
Elon Musk further added that he looks forward to create space railroad to Mars, and he will need international corporation to achieve the notion.
